ebay rocks

Sometimes lowball bids on ebay come through. picked up what they say is a rare(isn't everything for sale on ebay rare?) body piece to block the sun.

Doesn't look too bad. I'll have to sand it down this weekend

window rails/seals

the windows rails were pretty much taped on with ducttape so I picked up new tracks and seals and put them in the drivers windows. Nice tight fit.. No pics of this but here is one with the window off. I can see this being the prefered summer setup.

No pics today but I did do work.. I did more wiring this week. Replaced the battery cables, added a grounding strap from the starter to the frame, replaced the cable going to between the ignition and the starter. Still having problems with the starter.. I hit the start button and nothing. I didpull the battery and ran cables from another battery to the rover system and it fires right up. I put the battery on the charger for the night.

Replaced the speedo cable and the high low swich which was rotted out. I also found a split wire in the rats nest of wires in the dash it was part ofthe headlight circuit. Headlights are now working. Also put in Arnes wire junction and removed the voltage regulator that I wasn't useing any longer.

a few things I need to get to: at some point a horn was wired in using what looks like an old lamp cord. some of this was also used fora few other circuits. I need to find some sheathing to run some new wires and clean up some that I ran from the alternator.

I also need to replace a bunch of bulbs.

put a few more supports under the plywood just to make sure. I think I can park a sherman tank on top now with no issues but best to be safe. Also got some screening and put it over the brick holes so I don't waste 4 bags down that walls. Lowes had 50lb bags on sale for 1.23.. shit for that price i'm going to build a pyramid.

cleaning up the front

Popped off the front bumper and put on the new. 2 of the 4 bolts snapped the other 2 are pretty eaten up so I'll pick more up tomorrow. also took off the front panel under the headlights and cleaned up the one metal body panel.
