Still going
Been on vacation for a week but I'm still working on it. Got another quarter stripped last night and got a bracket in so I can mount an alternator. Going to wire that up and install it this weekend so I can do away with the old generator.

Solid Ground
The starter still didn't want to turn over without jumping the battery. I left the rover battery on the charger all night and it was reading full but still nothing. I went through and cleaned all the connections from battery to ground then battery to junction to starter. There was a bunch of corrosion which cleaned up easily then the connection to the starter didn't have a lock washer so was a bit loose. tightened everything up and right away the few panel lights glowed brighter and it fires right up. Thanks Arne now buy that FJ60
I also cleaned off the crud from underneath the hood and primed and painted it. Also did the grill piece
Sanded the back quarter down over the weekend.

The Roof
Had some time today so I polished out the roof. Ran out of the billet polish and had to switch to mothers aluminum and it didn't work quite as well but I'll get some for this weekend and finish up. You can see the front left is much cleaner than the rest. I plan on taking it off and clear coating itand probably painting the lower section

negative ground
ok I can't figure out how to edit that last post but I also swapped the rover over to negative ground from positive. Not much to do. Swapped the connections on the coil and the amp meter. swapped cables on the battery. I also got some brakets to mount a GM Alternator as the Rover Generator is pretty weak. I'll work on that after I get the clutch bled and the rear brakes done.
cluch slave
tried to bleed the clutch slave today also. bad news. bleeder valve snapped right off. I was using a shorty wrench as that was all that would fit in the spot but it cracked. Not sure if I'll easy out it or just get a new slave
tune up
Swapped out plugs, points, condensor, wires and coil the old gear was wasted.
I also listened to arne and tried to polish out part of the aluminum.. Looks awesome. I'm going to try to seperate the top portion of the roof from the rest and polish it out next weekend. I'll need a pile of mothers polish but I like the look
Been off on business for a couple weeks in Beijing so I haven't done anything. This weekend I got back on it. replaced the left front brake cylinder and the rear right. Waiting on brake shoes (on back order) until next weekend as the right rear break shoe was soaked in fluid. I replaced the oil seals so all looks good now.
