Ummmm

Shiny new parts. I only needed the starter switch but once I got on the phone with the guy we found all kinds of other things I had to have. I also got a great wire junction that Arne made but i'm too lazy to dig it out and take a pic tonight.. have to wait until the weekend to see that.

less paint

Took off a bit more paint. Going to have to do more research and test out some paint soon

starter button

So the starter button is pretty intermittent. I yanked it out and tested it with a meter and about every 4th o5 5thpress would make a good connections. A new one should be here this week along with a few other pieces including a front bumper.. Still need tires

Also built up a form to pour the top forthe pizza oven base. might be overkill

alternator

bypassed the voltage regulator (VR) but I need to create a wiring junction box or just pull out the regulator and use its connections. everything seems to use the VR as a connection. Once I bypassed it the amp meter didn't show anything but checked it with a meter and all is well. I'll pull the VR out later and take a look at what I can do or maybe just search out some other way to do it.

Got the oven base done today and will build up a form so I can pour the top later this week.

Hey Dave.... wanna help pour concrete? ;)

second post today ;)

yep 2 in one day.. The generator needed to be replaced or rebuilt because of bad bearings. I got a couple of alternators from and a bracket to mount them close to a month ago but didn't do anything with them. Had a chance today to put in the bracket and the alternator.

Still need to do a bit of wiring. I used the wiring from the generator which went to the voltage regulator then to the battery. Since the Alternator has a built in voltage regulator I want to skip the Lucas unit.
I also brushed on a bit more paint remover and took off acouple layers of paint.. There is a bit of clay at the bottom of the passenger door. I need to sand that off to see whats underit. a new door skin is only about $25 so I may just pick that up.

I sanded the drivers door

Yeah I know.. its been a while. I got sidetracked on tiling one of the rooms in the basement. I'm done with that now but i'm also in the middle of building up a base for my pizza oven.

I did do a bit more stripping on the front quarters
